Chores ᐧ 31 flowers
31 flowers
I plucked a hundred flowers from the fields we roamed
just so I’d have the perfect one to bring you home

The embroidery seems to bloom from the seams on 31 flowers — emerging from pocket edges at all three on the front, and creeping up the spine on the back. The front lining features a small hatch of indigo and white which hosts the embroidered name on the wearer’s right hand side, while the dark indigo sky of the back lining is covered in a pattern of dime-sized white shapes reminiscent of stars, or perhaps starships; symbols, or perhaps signs.
Materials
Vintage chore coat (cotton or cotton blend), patchwork lining constructed from antique indigo-dyed cotton fabric scraps, cotton embroidery floss, blister pearl and silver charm, glass beads
Measurements
44” bust, 26” length (high point shoulder to hem)
Kaci (model) is 5'5" tall
Care
For coats — remove charm using silver clasp, then dry clean or hand wash cold with mild detergent and line dry, warm iron on reverse with a little steam. Interior button serves as extra support for the silver clasp, which can be reinforced or removed as needed. For charms — gently clean with mild soap, warm water, and a soft cloth. Avoid wetting charms for extended periods of time. If using silver polish, avoid pearl.
